The first version of One UI 4 for the Galaxy S21 is available in seven different countries.
Samsung has finally announced the One UI 4 beta program opening aimed at Galaxy S21 series models. This is the version of One UI based on Android 12, the next major update of the operating system, which is scheduled to arrive in the next October 4.
The company has ensured that One UI 4 beta for the Galaxy S21 will be available in several different countries, and thanks to her, the owners of one of the models of this family will be able to try the latest news of the operating system before its arrival to all models globally.
One UI 4 can be tested on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra
Samsung indicates that One UI 4 based on Android 12 introduce big changes in privacy and personalization. It has not been confirmed, however, if the company plans to adopt the dynamic Material You themes in your customization layer.
Instead, they have indicated that in One UI 4 more interface configuration options are added, which allow for example change the home screen style, icons, notifications, or wallpaper.
In that sense, widgets have been renewed with a more modern style and more customization capabilities.
Regarding the privacy options, Samsung highlights measures such as the ability to see what permissions apps are using at all times, through indicators that show if an app is accessing the camera or microphone.
The management of permits is also expanded, giving the option of view a history with the privileges used by apps in the last seven days.
As is usual, it is possible sign up for the beta of the new version of One UI through the app Samsung Members. For now, the program is available for the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but its availability is limited to the following countries:
