Apple’s AirPods already have a new alternative: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 3, its new True Wireless headphones that can now be purchased on AliExpress. These are its characteristics, price and availability.
Thanks to their good value for money, Xiaomi headphones are a bestseller and many of their models are among the best sellers in the world.
A few days ago, the Chinese brand’s headphone catalog received a new member. We talk about the Redmi Buds 3, a model whose design we had already had the opportunity to see, but we needed to know the rest of the characteristics.
The design of the Redmi Buds 3 differs from what we had seen so far in the Xiaomi sub-brand catalog. Its appearance is very reminiscent of that of Apple AirPods, with a semi-in-ear design with poles and a square case with rounded corners.
The headphones are lightweight at 4.5g each and feature IP54 dust and splash proof protection. The case has a weight of 51 g and its dimensions are 49.6 x 49.6 x 24.4 mm.
They are equipped with the Qualcomm QCC3040 chip and are compatible with Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive audio decoding technology.
They mount 12 mm drivers that provide HD quality sound, and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity makes sound transmission faster and more stable.
They do not have active noise cancellation (ANC), but instead have a noise reduction system for calls which is carried out thanks to the built-in microphones. This allows the voice to be heard more clearly during conversations.
In terms of autonomy, the Redmi Buds 3 offer up to 5 hours of music playback on a single charge, and its case provides up to an additional 20 hours of battery life.
The new headphones have not yet officially arrived in Spain, but can now be purchased through AliExpress at a price of 35.90 euros. They are in the pre-sale phase and orders will be shipped from September 17.
